Red alert as intel exposes bandits attending Boko Haram, ISWAP training

Boko Haram Boko Haram

The movement of bandits going for training being conducted by Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have been intercepted.

Nigeria’s security services have been placed on alert to foil the collaboration between bandits and insurgents wreaking havoc in the country.

It was discovered that several brigands have been migrating from Zamfara State to attend drills in terrorist hideouts in Borno State.

The intel is contained in a circular with Reference Number NIS/HQ/CGI/943, PRNigeria reports.

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) ordered its comptrollers to intensify surveillance in and around their areas of jurisdictions.

The NIS urged its officers to gather more details that would help to apprehend the outlaws.

The comptrollers are expected to forward workable intelligence to the office of the Comptroller General for action.

The memo, titled “Movement of Armed Bandits from Zamfara to Borno for Intensive Boko Haram Training”, was signed by Usman Auna, and Assistant Comptroller General.

ACG Auna urged state commands and formations, especially in North-West and North-East, to remain vigilant at all times.
