A video of a seemingly empty terminal at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos has generated will reactions on social media.
This comes after a traveler with the @WadzaniApagu shared photos of the local terminal in the morning of Tuesday, September 24.
The photo showed an empty waiting area with a handful of passengers waiting to book their flights locally.
"An empty airport this morning. Return ticket Lagos to Abuja is 400k. Return ticket Lagos to Benin 320k. Money wey people dey take go London before. Nigeria is in dire straits. The middle class has been wiped out in one swoop. May the Lord deliver us!!," the X user wrote.
The post was reposted on the Instagram handle of popular blogger, Linde Ikeji with tonnes of users sharing their opinions of the high cost of living.
