Reactions as Labour Party postpones Ondo, Ekiti campaign tour after low patronage in Kogi

The Labour Party has postponed its presidential tour scheduled for Ekiti and Ondo.

In a tweet via its official Twitter handle, the party said the rescheduling was due to "unavoidable and unusual circumstances beyond control"

The tour was initially slated for the 15th and 16th of December 2023.

The tweet reads: "Due to some unavoidable and unusual circumstances beyond control, our earlier scheduled Presidential Campaign Rally in Ekiti & Ondo for 15th and 16th December2023 are hereby POSTPONED. New date will be announced. We regret the inconveniences caused by this. #ObiDatti23"

Many on social media are of the opinion that this move was a result of the disappointing turnout in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

See some reactions below

@YakoRhals: If the state rallies are becoming more difficult, let's channel the resources for them to grass roots mobilisation. In Jaba LGA of Kaduna state, I have not observed any serious LP and Obi presence. If not for social media, nothing solid on ground. No flags, posters, stickers, etc

@ChidiNwobodo1: Better than embarrassing outing. Poor publicity marred Kogi rally. You don't just announce rally 24hrs to the date.

@ChidiNwobodo1: Nah, actually, people are beginning to see the low quality of Obi. We just have to face reality at this point, he can't win. Good sha, he's helping TINUBU

@adeagbo_gbadebo: maybe u guys will merge Ekiti and Ondo rally together and do it at Iju/Itaogbolu

@ChieduObi: Nothing was disappointing, the crowd was good enough. We dont go about renting crowds. Was well attended
