Former Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has said that re-electing President Bola Tinubu is like giving a five-year-old the key to a jet.
According to him, such a move is irresponsible and dangerous, emphasising that Tinubu is a totalitarian.
He wrote on X, "Nigeria too big for Tinubu. No capacity, no leadership skill. Giving him a second term is like giving a five-year-old the key to a jet. That will be irresponsible and dangerous. He is a totalitarian. Together we can!!!"
Melaye then shared a screenshot showing why the new coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will defeat Tinubu in the coming 2027 presidential election.
The ADC currently has former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former presidential candidate Peter Obi in its fold. Report has it that former presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso is slated to join the party today. All three of them contested against Tinubu in 2023.
While Atiku polled 6.9 million votes, Obi got 6.1 million votes, and Kwankwaso polled 1.4 million votes, against Tinubu's 8.7 million votes.
According to Melaye, with all three of them in ADC, Tinubu stands no chance at getting re-elected.
