Putin's visit to Russian troops in Ukraine draws praise from Nigerians as they troll Buhari for not doing same

Nigerians have reacted to a video of Russian President, Vladmir Putin visiting occupied Kherson region in Ukraine.

According to Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, the visit which took place on 17 April, was to hear reports from military commanders, although footage initially posted on the Kremlin's website contradicts this statement.

In the clip released by Putin's press office, the Russian president can be heard saying that the Easter holiday is "coming up".

Reacting to the video making rounds, some Nigerians applauded Putin for visiting the Russian troops in Ukraine.

The social media users questioned Buhari's effort in the fight against Boko Haram as some wondered if Buhari had ever visited the army in Sambisa forest.

Others admired Putin's stamina as he alighted from the plane whiles comparing him to President-elect Bola Tinubu.

In a video making rounds, Putin who was seen alighting from the plane, accompanied by his bodyguards, walked majestically into a car as he made his way to see the troops fighting in the war in Eastern Europe country.
