Prince Raheem emerges King of little New York, multi-ethnic community in Ghana

Prince Tajudeen Raheem emerged as newly elected Sarki (King) of little New York base of Accra New Town in the Republic of Ghana

The philanthropist won the keenly contested election that involves three solid candidates name Alh. Mohamed who is into properties, king Faisal also was a strong contestant believing in his experience as a grassroots person and a successful business mogul based in Accra New Town and lastly but not the least was the overall winner at the end of the contest Prince Raheem Tajudeen who is a university scholar and a compassionate giver

The happily married man became the King after gaining overwhelming votes of 34 out of the total number of 60 ballots cast, the first runner up, Alhaji Mohammed got 21 votes and Mr. King Faisal came 3rd of the three contestants with 3 votes whiles he had 2 votes rejected before the final declaration of the election result which took about 24 hours before the electoral committee headed by the highly respected Sheikh and other two trusted members of the group.

Upon declaration, the electoral empire admonished everyone to be calm as he assured all of a free and fair election and apologised over the delay in releasing the result due to some unforeseen circumstances.

He further said it was also the first time such an election is happening within the community-based group whose members are scattered over the world with voting been online based on a consensus reached by the executive arms of the group headed by Mr Bash Maida.

Mr. Bash Maida who is the first appointed president of the online group appreciated everyone for being part of history as such has never been done by any base in Ghana to the best of our knowledge, he also prays for the repose soul of our late King who was the first, however, became just by nomination.

Furthermore, in his acceptance speech, King Raheem thanked everyone and declared his readiness to carry everyone alone and perform his functions without fear or favour as he pledged to uphold the constitution guiding the group acknowledging the role played by the group in making sure the election was well conducted as he became the winner through God's help and members efforts especially that of his campaign team
