Prez Tinubu condemns Borno, Kaduna kidnapping by Boko Haram, bandits

Following the recent kidnapping of students and internally displaced persons in Kaduna and Borno State, President Bola Tinubu has condemned the atrocious incident.

According to Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, the President has ordered security agencies to commence rescue of the victims immediately and apprehend the culprits.

"I have received briefing from security chiefs on the two incidents, and I am confident that the victims will be rescued. Nothing else is acceptable to me and the waiting family members of these abducted citizens. Justice will be decisively administered,” the statement read.

The President also extended his sympathy to the families of the victims.

It was reported that on March 4, 2024, Boko Haram terrorists abducted a large number of females internally-displaced persons in Ngala, the headquarters of Gambarou Ngala in Borno State.

Also, bandits stormed the LEA Primary and Junior Secondary School, Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State and abducted 187 students and 125 pupils on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
