Presidential election results by the numbers

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared the winner of the 2023 presidential elections.

The former Lagos governor defeated 17 other presidential candidates in the tightly contested polls.

Scoring 8,794,726 votes, the highest of all the candidates, he was declared the winner by the INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1.

He also scored over 25 percent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required.

Atiku polled a total of 6,984,520 votes in the election.

Peter Obi of the Labour Party came third in the election with a total of 6,101,533 votes while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP came fourth with 1,496,687 votes.

According to INEC, 93,469,884 eligible voters registered for the elections while 25,286,616 were accredited.
