Presidential aide says Aisha Buhari is not happy over daughter’s wedding cartoon

A presidential aide has disclosed that Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari is unhappy over a cartoon image of her daughter’s recent wedding.

The cartoon had depicted an image of the First Lady showing the invitation of her daughter’s wedding while Nigerians were drowning.

According to Premium Times, the spokesperson of the First Lady, Aliyu Abdullahi told the BBC on Monday, September 7, that Aisha was displeased by the way she was portrayed in the cartoon.

He said the wedding between Hanan Buhari and Mohammed Sha’aban had nothing to do with the present hardship Nigerians are facing.

Abdullahi explained that the First Lady had taken measures to ensure that the wedding was simple; noting that she even told her aides not to make the wedding extravagant.
