President's daughter, Zahra Buhari gives reason for coronavirus pandemic

Zahra Buhari, the daughter of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has reacted to the coronavirus pandemic.

Sharing on Instastories, Zahra Buhari stated that the reason why the virus is ravaging is that the earth is cleansing itself and its inhabitants.



Meanwhile, her father's Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, has tested positive to the virus.

Kyari who travelled to Germany and Egypt recently was suspected to have contracted the virus when he was coughing during a meeting at the Aso Villa in Abuja.

This has now forced Garba Shehu and other top members of the Buhari-led regime in the Presidential Villa to go into self-isolation.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced that two new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria which draws the total number to 42.

According to the NCDC, the two extra cases were confirmed in Lagos and Ogun states.

"One case is a returning traveller. The second case is a contact of a previously confirmed case

"As at 1 pm on March 24, there are 42 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria-2 discharged, 1 death," a statement from the agency read.

Lagos- 29 FCT- 7 Ogun- 3 Ekiti- 1 Oyo- 1 Edo- 1.
