George Agbakahi, a member of the dissolved Tinubu/Shettima campaign organization has stated that President Bola Tinubu will deal with the challenges in the southeast in his own time.

The APC Chieftain also stressed that the President will deal with the detention of the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu since his re-arrest in 2021.

Agbakahi, who is the South East Leader, of Tinubu Support Organization was speaking in an interview on Arise TV on Tuesday, July 4.

He said: "The issue of Nnamdi Kanu is a global issue and the president discussed this issue when he campaigned in Ebonyi State. As a member of the presidential campaign council from the southeast, I was privileged to be in that campaign rally."

"The president said it openly that he will work with Igbo leaders to deal with issues that are affecting Igbos. More especially, the issue of Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB and the issue of unknown gunmen."

"So I believe that the president will do that at the right time. In my own personal opinion, I believe at some point, based on the current political developments in the country at some point Nnamdi Kanu will have to be released - even if it under some conditions."
