President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, September 27, appointed seven executive directors for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) with immediate effect.
Special Adviser to Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a statement titled, “President Tinubu appoints seven Executive Directors for NTA.”
Legit.ng reports that the NTA is a Nigerian government-owned established in 1977 with stations across the 36 states of the federation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. The NTA Headquarters is situated beside Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Area 11, Garki, Abuja.
Tinubu appoints seven directors for NTA
As reported by The Punch, Tinubu reappointed Ayo Adewuyi as the Executive Director, News.
1. Ibrahim Aliyu — Executive Director, Special Duties – Legal Practitioner.
2. Muhammed Mustapha — Executive Director, Administration and Training.
3. Mrs Apinke Effiong — Executive Director, Finance.
According to the statement, Effiong is an expert in financial marketing with treasury, management accounting, and reporting skills.
4. Mrs Tari Taylaur — Executive Director, Programme. Taylaur is an audio/visual creator, producer, and showrunner.
5. Mr Sadique Omeiza — Executive Director, Engineering
6. Mrs Oluwakemi Fashina — Executive Director, Marketing.
Fashina is an integrated marketing communications professional and chartered marketer.
Onanuga said the new appointees are expected to inject fresh ideas and expertise into the NTA.
The presidential aide added that they are also expected to drive growth and development in Nigeria’s broadcast industry.
