President Buhari to attend coronation of King Charles in London

Report indicate that President Muhammadu Buhari will head to London, United Kingdom on Wednesday, May 3, to attend the coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort alongside other world leaders.

According to the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Adesina, the coronation will hold on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

It was said that the Commonwealth Secretariat will host a Summit for Presidents and Head Governments of Commonwealth countries on Friday, May 5 ahead of the coronation in London.

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to participate in the Summit which will deliberate on the Future of the Commonwealth and the Role of the Youth.

Officials who accompanied the President include; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj.-Gen Babagana Monguno (Rtd), the Director General, National Intelligence Agency, (NIA), Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Chairperson/Chief Executive Officer of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa among others.
