President Buhari meets with Bola Tinubu at villa

Report indicates that President Muhammadu Buhari had a meeting with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, at his official residence at the State House, on Friday, February 10.

It was gathered that Tinubu had abandoned the ‘Meet the mentor’ dinner held in his honour by the APC Progressives Sisters Network at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.

He however, apologised to the organisers that he had an important meeting with the president at 9.45p.m.

Details of the president meeting with Tinubu was yet to be made public, close sources claim it may be connected with the presidential election to be held in two weeks.

It was said that the meeting at the State House lasted till around midnight.

President Muhammadu Buhari was also reported to have held a meeting with the Council of State on Friday, over the Naira redesign policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari. Those in attendance include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, Former President Goodluck Jonathan, and Former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon.
