Author and former presidential aspirant, Reno Omokri has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a semi-literate tyrant, following the recent arrest of peaceful protesters demonstrating over the reopening of the Lekki Tollgate.

Some Nigerians embarked on a protest today, February 13, 2021 at the Lekki Tollgate, to express their displeasure at the reopening of the Lekki Tollgate by the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry probing the killing of some #EndSARS protesters by soldiers.

This action angered many Nigerians therefore who have since defied all orders by the authorities to stage a protest which led to their arrest.

Since the Lekki shooting which claimed several lives and injured many in October 2020, little has been heard from the President.

Controversial Lawyer called the arrest unconstitutional and therefore null and void. Adding that the authorities have chosen to protect the herdsmen alleged of killing, raping and harassing residents on people’s lands, rather than protecting the innocent citizens.

“The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress. General Buhari is a semi-literate tyrant. He can’t turn Nigeria into one huge concentration camp for herdsmen and his soldiers to kill us one by one. We insist on justice for the peaceful, unarmed #EndSARS protesters killed on the night of 20 October 2020,” he said on social media.

He however, promised to render free legal services to persons arrested by the police during the protests.

“The arrest of #OccupyLekkiTollGate protesters is unconstitutional, and therefore null and void. If anyone you know has been illegally arrested during today’s Lekki Tollgate peaceful protest, and their phones were seized, please provide proof on their behalf, and I will do my best to get them legal representation. Respond to this post and use #OccupyLekkiTollGateLegal.”
