President Buhari admits to breaking electoral law to show support for Tinubu

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has admitted to breaking electoral laws to show his loyalty and support to APC candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In the early hours of Saturday, the president and the first lady arrived at Ward A, Sarkin Yara Polling Unit 003, in Daura-Kastina to cast their ballots.

During the process, President Buhari showed his casted vote sheet to the media and public. Reacting to the criticisms, the President said the move was to reaffirm his support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“All over the places, I mentioned my favourite candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu, and I believe my constituency will elect him 100 percent,” he is quoted by NAN.

Meanwhile, viral image has gained widespread backlash from several Nigerians and social media users.
