Presidency speaks on sacking Abba Kyari and replacing him with Ajimobi

The Presidency has reacted to news that Abba Kyari has been sacked as Chief of Staff by the President and replaced with former Governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi.

The which circulated on Whatsapp stated that the ack was issued by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

“The termination of the appointment of Abba Kyari took immediate effect. And the President has appointed Ajimobi as New COS. The President ordered Abba Kyari to step down as Chief of Staff due to his health challenge.’’

In reaction to the message, Presidential aide on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, described it as fake news which should be disregarded.

”Yet another fake news started trending on some WhatsApp groups that ‘President @MBuhari sacked Mallam Abba Kyari and replaced him with former Gov. Abiola Ajimobi’, disregard and dishonour it, entirely untrue!’’.

This comes after news broke out that Abba Kyari tested positive to COVID-19.
