Presidency douse rumours of ill-health with video of Buhari waving

Ever since President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari tested negative for coronavirus, there has been a national clamour for proof to be sure that he is indeed doing fine.

This is coming after the President's Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari tested positive to the COVID-19 virus with three of his staff.

The disquiet ever since Buhari's short mispronouncement of COVID-19 fueled more suspicions regarding the president's health with no word after that short broadcast.

The Presidency tried to douse the rumours of Buhari's ill-health in many ways.

They began with pictures but like doubting thomases, Nigerians were not okay with that. Then a press statement announcing a N15bn coronavirus intervention fund to be shared between Lagos State- the state with the highest positive cases thus far and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control was publicised.

Situations worsened when a self-acclaimed "Islamic scholar," Imam of Peace, doused more tension by throwing heavy accusations at Buhari's media aides and the country at large for their support of terrorism in a Boko Haram war the giant of Africa is proudly losing.

Disquiet over the President's health was soon to clear with the latest video released by Personal Photographer to the President of Nigeria, Bayo Omoboriowo.

It showed the President waving briefly for five seconds all smiles.
