A woman identified as Mercy has narrated her ordeal in the hands of the Special Anti-robbery Squad, SARS officers who reportedly touch her in an inappropriate manner.

Mercy, who claimed she is pregnant, said she was wrongly apprehended during a raid of sex workers at a place she claimed to be a lodge.

She said the SARS operatives forcefully entered her room while she was sleeping without allowing her access to underwear and despite the fact that she was pregnant, they kept beating her and touching her private parts.

Mercy strongly claimed she is neither a criminal nor a prostitute, adding that she has a son and only visits the lodge to sleep after closing late from work.

“They did not allow me to wear anything, they were just pressing my yansh; na only you get this one, na only you get this one? What does that mean? “Even right now, I am pregnant, even with pregnancy, they’re beating me like that, they are pressing my yansh, I no see anything wear,”

She was among the people arrested and paraded by Hakeem Odumosu, the new Commissioner of Police in the state.
