'Pray for Tinubu so that all the promises he made will be kept' – Wike to Anglican Bishop

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has encouraged the church to pray for Bola Ahmed Tinubu to strengthen the President in fulfilling his promises to the nation.

The immediate past governor of Rivers State made the plea on Sunday, April 28 at the thanksgiving church service held in honor of the acting state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tony Okocha at St. Thomas Anglican Church at Rumuigbo in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

“My Lord Bishop, let me thank you for taking your time to preside over this thanksgiving service in honoring our brother who God has blessed in various ways, and to his wife who God has added another one year to her life today. I want also to ask you to pray for Nigeria and Mr President so that all the promises he made will be kept,” he said.

Okocha, who is also representing the state on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) board, was celebrating his double appointments and his wife’s birthday.

Speaking during the service, Okocha, said God has helped him to push through politically despite obstacles put in his way.

“But, in all, God helped us and we navigated through and today, it is success story. So, I want to thank you for finding time to join us in celebration of what God has done for me and my family,” Okocha said.
