Praises as Fubara stops to buy cold drink from retailer, gifts seller bundle of cash

Rivers State Governor Siminialayi Fubara has received praises after he stormed a retail store to purchase a bottle of soft drink and gifted the owner a bundle of cash as payment.

Fubara was accompanied by an entourage and security personnel but it is uncertain when the incident occurred.

As Fubara approached the shop, he requested a bottle of Sprite. Just as the seller handed the drink to him, he enquired if the drink was free and immediately pulled out a bundle of cash and gave it to the man.

Shocked at the Governor's gesture, the man thanked Fubara. Several men who witnessed the gift hailed the Rivers Governor.

The video of Fubara and the drink seller goes viral after the councillor representing Nyesom Wike’s Ward in the Obio/Akpor Legislative Council of Rivers State (Rumuodomaya), Achor Nna, resigned.
