A young man identified as Tunde Akindunbi, was on Saturday, April 8, found dead hanging on a Mango tree in the Dalimore area of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

Akindunbi is believed to have committed suicide but some of the people who came around thought otherwise. Some residents of the area were of the opinion that the position of the dead man’s body on the tree does not suggest that he hanged himself.

They claimed that he might have been killed and hanged by his killers to cover up any trace that could lead to the discovery of the real cause of his death.

Some others believe that he might have taken his life due to the recent break-up with his girlfriend.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Ekiti state police command, DSP Sunday Abutu, said an investigation has been launched into the incident, and that two persons have been invited for questioning to assist the Command in its investigation.
