Police find abandoned baby crying at a refuse dump site

A baby found at a refuse dump site by officers of the Nigerian Police Force is currently being cared for at a hospital.

The policemen found the baby crying at the dump site and immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital.

A Twitter user who was at the scene narrated:

"This life is just a pot of beans. Just less than an hour ago a police car drove into the hospital, said they found a baby in a refuse dump crying so they decided to bring it to the hospital in the boot of their car

"Who and why would anyone want to throw away such a beautiful baby girl?

"We finally finished resuscitating her... body temperature was back to normal and baby girl is doing well. . . I’ve personally decided to bear the cost of her hospital care until or unless social welfare decides to take her up. I really feel like adopting her Such a fine babyPensive face

Giving update, he said, "Baby girl is doing much better... Smiling face... I’ve taken it upon myself to cater for her until a decision is reached by the management.

"I hope they’ll let me keep her.

"Thanks to all of you who have been reaching out to offer support. I’ll keep us all updated".
