Police begins investigation into suspected assassination of Aiyedatiwa’s campaign coordinator

The Police Command in Ondo State has begun an investigation into circumstances that led to the death of Alaba Abe, a ward coordinator of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s campaign organization.

Abe, who is popularly referred to as Excel was killed by unknown gunmen on Saturday, April 27.

The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed the news of his demise, indicating that the investigation had already started.

“Yes, it is true. The command has commenced an investigation to unravel all that happened,” She said.

The deceased was part of governor’s campaign coordinators during the just-ended All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primary in Ondo State.

He was also part of the Returning Officer for the party’s primary election at Ward 10 in the council area.
