On Tuesday, September 6 Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife, recently wedded his new wife Mariam Anako.

Anako, the new addition to his family comes from the Ebira people of Kogi State, Nigeria.

From an influential family, she is the young sister of Medinat Anakoa, a lawyer, businesswoman, and Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs and Kogi State Diaspora Focal Point Officer (DFPO) to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.

Her second older sibling, Mrs. Raliat Abdulrahman née Anako, is a special adviser to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.

She was raised by former Inspector General of the Nigerian Police Mohammed Dikko Abubakar after her mother died while she was quite young. Abubakar was in office from 2012 to 2014.

The Ooni is now a fourth-time bridegroom. It comes nine months after his ex-wife, Olori Naomi, publicly announced their split on social media.

She is from one of Kogi State’s most prominent families. She will be the Ooni's fourth legally married wife.

Her ancestors originally hail from Kogi State (Igbira to be exact), but they ultimately made their home in Ilorin, Kwara State.
