The "Save Judiciary” protest has been led by influential members of the Peoples Democratic Party's leadership.

The protest which started from the PDP’s Legacy House in Maitama, Abuja was spearheaded by Uche Secondus, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra state, as well as Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senate Minority leader.

The protest was held to express the party's displeasure at the Supreme court over its verdict on the Imo governorship election following the recent declaration of All Progressives Congress candidate, Hope Uzodinma, as the duly elected governor of Imo State in the last governorship election.

The protesters carried placards that bore these messages: "Save Judiciary”, “Presidency and Judiciary Murder Democracy” and “We say no to Supreme Court judgment in Imo.”
