Peter Obi why this eye service? - Reno Omokri quizzes

Reno Omorki, former Presidential aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has said Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate is engaging in eye service.

In a series of tweets, Reno called out Peter Obi for asking other presidential candidates to halt their campaigns and join him to help victims of the flood across the country.

Peter Obi made the call on Wednesday, October 19, during an interview with the press after his visit to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State at his Abuja private residence where he had gone to discuss modalities on his planned visit to flood sites in Benue and other states.

Reacting to his comment, Omokri noted that the former Anambra state governor failed to intercede when a pregnant Northerner was killed alongside her children in Anambra state.

According to him, the former governor failed to mitigate the flooding situations in Anambra state.

Reno who is a fierce critic of Peter Obi and his political party said;

"Dear @PeterObi,

20 people have been killed by unknown gunmen in your state in the last month. Why have you not suspended your campaign to go help Anambra put an end to the spate of killings going on there? Why this eye service?

Over 100 people killed in Anambra in 2022 alone, including lawmakers, soldiers, policemen, and INEC officials. Why has Obi not suspended his campaign to go and help Anambra? You say he is not the Governor of Anambra. Those flooded states, don’t they have Governors?

Other than eye service, exactly how does Obi want to help flood victims? He governed Anambra. What did he do to prevent flooding? Tinubu built modern drainage systems in Lagos, to mitigate flood, while Obi focused on a beer brewery to employ “60% of Anambra people”!

Emergency agencies are best equipped to deal with flood situations. Obi will only be a distraction, as he does his eye service. Cameras will follow him. The real helpers will be disrupted. Those who really want to help donate money and leave experts to do their jobs.
