Odukoya Oluwaseun, a social media user, believes that Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, was manipulated and used by Yoruba politicians.

This comment was made in response to a viral video showing former President Olusegun Obasanjo wearing a cap with the broken shackle symbol often worn by President Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu and Obasanjo have a history of conflict, which led the former President to declare support for Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election.

Odukoya Oluwaseun expressed his thoughts on the video, suggesting that Peter Obi was used to split Atiku's votes and clear the path for Tinubu in the 2023 general election.

He stated, “Peter Obi was a pawn in the hands of Yoruba politicians. They used him to divide Atiku's votes to pave the way for Tinubu. The guy thought he was smart. How could he win… Pito Obi was used, and it was too late for him to realize it.”

Recall that Obi was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but he switched to the Labour Party and became its presidential candidate.
