An aide to the FCT Minister, Lere Olayinka, has thrown shade at Nigerian Democratic Congress presidential candidate Peter Obi.

According to him, Obi loves to act as if he's a poor man despite his wife possessing a handbag worth N250 million.

He also slammed Obi, saying he always wants a political party's presidential ticket after others have spent money to fund the party.

He said on X, "He has only one shoe. He has only one wristwatch. But one of the bags his wife uses is over N250m! HE IS A FAKE MAN!

"And he no dey give Shishi. You must use your own money to campaign and run for election for him. You must form a party with your own resources and hand the Presidential ticket to him.

"His wife, who is carrying one bag worth over N250m, is not even lifting a single finger on his presidential ambition.

"Keep being the Mumu that you are enh. You will have sense next year."

In another post, he wrote, "Peter Obi and the burden of a false public image

"The wife of 'Saint' Peteru Obi can use a N1bn nylon bag, she can wear a N2bn bathroom slippers and N5bn earrings; that's not the issue.

"The issue is, her husband should stop lying and presenting himself as a PRUDENT person.

"You want the people to donate N1,000 to fund your campaign, but your wife is using one bag that will take contributions of N1,000 from 250,000 Nigerians to buy? That's a FRAUD!

"For those of you who will say, it is her money or her husband's money. Yes, you are right. But if, as a private citizen, the wife of a supposed PRUDENT man can buy a single bag worth over N250m, you can do a guess at the cost of bags she will buy with public funds.

"If you don't give Shishi to people labouring day and night (even contributing money) to advance your Presidential ambition, but the woman, who will be the number one beneficiary, is using a bag worth over N250m, it shows that all you are doing is a FAKE PRESENTATION of yourself to deceive the public.

"Being PRUDENT is not only about claiming that you have ONE SHOE and ONE WRIST WATCH while your wife lives an extravagant lifestyle. Rather, it is about everything concerning you showing evidence that you are indeed prudent.

"For instance, you and your wife and children want to travel from Abuja to Lagos; you took a commercial flight while your wife and children took a Private Jet.

"That's exactly the DECEITFUL lifestyle of "Saint" Peteru Obi.
