The All Progressives Congress has reacted to Peter Obi's call for President Bola Tinubu to re-introduce himself to the world.

On Wednesday, October 11, the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, held a press conference in Abuja where he called out President Tinubu to reveal his true identity, name, parentage, schools he attended, others to Nigerians and the world at large.

"I call on him to immediately and personally mount the rostrum of his present high office to perform a simple task once and for all time. He should re-introduce himself to the nation he governs and to the world for the avoidance of further doubt.

"He should let the world know his name, nationality his place of birth, his parentage, the primary and secondary schools he attended with dates as well as the actual universities he attended and certificates obtained.

"He should indicate clearly where and when he did his National Youth Service. In addition, if at any time he has had a change of name, he should clearly state so and the circumstances. That, in itself, is no crime."

The former Governor of Anambra state noted that because of Tinubu academic record scandal the international community now see Nigeria as fraudsters and certificate forgers.

Reacting to Peter Obi's comment at the presser, Sen. Ajibola Bashiru, the APC National Secretary described Obi's call to Tinubu as rubbish.

According to him, Peter Obi has allowed the trauma affecting Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party to also affect him.

He said this during an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today on Wednesday evening.

Bashiru said;

"What I can tell you is that Mr Peter Obi allowed the trauma that has affected Mr Atiku Abubakar to also affect him too.

Perhaps there will be a need for our school of psychiatry to begin to look at what could be traumatising some people after electoral lose.

For somebody to spew the kind of rubbish with respect that I say it adversely Mr Obi spewed at his press conference telling somebody who contested presidential election and won close to 8.9 million votes to be talking about identity.

I think it is preposterous, it shows the kind of mentality and kind of shadowiness of the perspective and understanding of Mr Peter Obi and his co-travelers, particularly Atiku Abubakar or Sidiq Abubakar or whatever they call him."
