Kent Okwesa, the alleged gay lover of Oseloka Obi, the son of former presidential candidate Peter Obi, has said that one day, people of his nature will live freely in Nigeria.
Recently, Okwesa lamented that the birthday photos he shared on Tuesday were met with hostility.
He had shared the photos on X, which showed him and Oseloka, suggesting that they are in a gay relationship. This astonished Nigerians, who rushed to his comment section to express disappointment in Obi's son.
According to some, Obi cannot control his son, yet he wants to solve Nigeria's complex problems within five years. Others attacked Okwesa, as they felt his action of posting the photos brought ridicule to their favourite politician.
Reacting, Okwesa shared, "A sweet moment turned sour... oh well, more birthday week pics coming soon. For those who have recently followed me, don't be discouraged by the projected shame and hate under the comments of my photos. Allow yourselves to express freely and physically present how you."
An X user, @SouthOba_, attacked him, saying, "You're stup!d. Can't you read the room and know the political tension in Nigeria before posting ur dirty g@y sh1t and ur worthless birthday?"
In a new post, Okwesa revealed that he cannot wait for the day when Nigeria will embrace differences and free itself from colonial ideologies.
He wrote, "Despite everything, this has so far been the best birthday day week ever. I love you all. One day, soon, Nigeria will be a place where all of us can live freely. A place for us to celebrate and embrace differences from the collective perspective of a radicalised mind, and not from the perspective of those who have oppressed us. One day, I will visit and show you a glimpse of what is possible if we reject white supremacist Colonial ideologies. I can not wait for that day to come. You are all very special and dear to me, and I feel very fortunate to be living on this planet at the same time as all of you. May you all receive blessings for eternity."
