Former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has said the Obidient Movement run by his counterpart, Peter Obi, is a Ponzi scheme.
According to him, this is because the people in the movement are always associating with the same political criminals they once demonised.
Addressing newsmen in front of a Federal High Court in Abuja, Sowore recalled that Obi was one of the first people to visit former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), immediately he got released from prison.
Sowore said, "He was with Malami that same night, and Malami is one of the biggest thieves on trial in this court today. I don't need to point out anything to you. The hypocrisy that they represent will keep pointing them out. The people you should pity are those who are fooled by them..I'm not talking about those who are helping them to fool you, those who justify their criminal alliances. It's the people who, in their large numbers, are being euthanised by these lies.
"I feel bad for them because they think they are involved in nation-building or some kind of movement that will bring about change, only to understand too quickly or too early that they are part of a political fraud syndicate, a Ponzi scheme. One of the biggest political Ponzi schemes that could be put together is this MMM Peter Obi movement that tells you that somebody is a criminal, and the next day they are with the person, and they will justify why they are with the person. The criminal structure is no longer criminal."
