Omoyele Sowore has said fellow presidential candidate Peter Obi is a fraud whose only intention is to be a Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

According to him, Obi wants to be SGF under a presidency headed by fellow presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.

In a post, Sowore stated that to achieve the aim, Obi has been directing his supporters to work for Atiku's presidential bid.

He said, "If you haven’t noticed, the packaged fraud, Mr. Peter Obi is secretly directing his supporters to work for @Atiku Abubakar because they are opposed to our revolutionary mandate. Obi is positioning himself to become Atiku’s SGF."

Meanwhile, Obi and Atiku are yet to issue any statement disputing Sowore's claim.

Atiku and Obi contested for President as running mates in 2019 but lost to incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

In 2023, both men contested against each other and lost to Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress.
