Wale Ajetunmobi, an aide to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has slammed former presidential candidate Peter Obi, describing him as a fraud.

This was after Obi spoke againt the use of religion and ethnicity in Nigeria's politics but competence.

In an interview, Obi said, “The issue of tribe and religion is something people need to stop in politics because, in this country, no tribe or religion buys bread or fuel cheaper than others. We are all suffering. People who bring tribe into politics are often those who are not qualified. So, when you ask them about their qualifications, their competence, they introduce tribe or religion as a means of getting to where they shouldn’t be.”

Reacting, Sanwo-Olu's aide said, "Religion suddenly doesn’t matter to a man caught on tape begging a Bishop to help convince Christians in Kogi and Kwara to vote for him, after turning a simple democratic election to a 'religious war'!!!

"Peter Obi is a confused fraud."
