Peter Obi has no reputation; Tinubu will beat him hands down - Oshiomhole

Former Governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, has said that presidential candidate Peter Obi has no reputation and cannot be taken at his word.

According to him, insecurity was the order of the day when Obi was the governor of Anambra State.

Oshiomhole said this during an interview, where he revealed that Obi lacks what it takes to curb insecurity in Nigeria.

He said, "Do your research, what were the first major decisions that Governor Obiano took when he succeeded Obi as Governor of Anambra State? We saw the visuals of when Governor Obiano was using bulldozers; I think he started it. to bring down the houses of kidnappers and Bakassi boys that got out of control, and Peter Obi could not fix security in Anambra State. It took the intervention of Governor Obiano who took over from him to begin to destroy the properties of kidnappers and those he believed have used the accruals from kidnapping where wife will kidnap husband and husband will kidnap wife and ask the children to bring money, it got to that level And Governor Obi as he then was, I was a Governor then, I was also a Governor and my state was safer than Anambra under Obi.

"So, if Obi couldn't fix Anambra State and Bakassi boys who got out of control and it took the intervention of Governor Obiano to step in and you think that's the guy who has the courage to......look at him recently, talking ehn, we shouldn't do ethnic profiling, fine, but did he say, what should we be doing?

"Everybody knows things are not perfect, but a statesman should be providing answers. Say, this man is driving left, if I get the ticket, I will drive right so that's his specific choice, so you, as a voter, will say, I think I like right-hand driving, not left-hand. There have to be specific new tools that they will bring; we haven't heard anything other than this word: "Do the right thing" What is the right thing? What is the left thing? So, I will vote for Tinubu, and he will win hands down, and these people will not get the kind of votes that they got before."
