Activist Omoyele Sowore has reiterated his claim that fellow presidential candidate Peter Obi has the blood of innocent members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on his hands.

Sowore made the claim in 2020, during the height of the #EndSARS protest against police brutality.

He said, "@PeterObi with blood of innocent #IPOB activists on his hands. #SarsMustGoNow. CSP James Nwafor kills with relish; he used to say “if I bring out my pistol, I must kill before I put it back” #SarsMustGoNow."

In a new post, he said his "tweet of October 13, 2020, about @PeterObi’s complicity in SARS remains evergreen, especially as the #EndSARS remembrance approaches. The same remembrance must confront the roles we have consistently accused Bola Tinubu @OFFICIALABAT and Lagos Governor @jidesanwoolu BABAJIDE SANWO-Olu of in facilitating and covering up the killing of #EndSARS protesters at the #LekkiTollGate in October 2020.

"This country suffers from amnesia (dangerous amnesia). Those who understand this weakness exploit it, they rub salt into our wounds, rewrite the past, rehabilitate their favourite criminals and eventually turn history completely on its head.

"We must remember. We must preserve the records. We must continue demanding that those who murdered innocent citizens are reminded of the day of reckoning.

"And we must never allow political convenience to erase history or rewrite the suffering of those who stood up against police brutality."
