Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential hopeful for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Peter Obi’s vice-presidential pick in 2027, has rejected claims about who truly secured victory in the 2023 election.

During an interview, he was asked whether he believed Peter Obi was the rightful winner of that election.

He responded, “No, I think that is gone. I think we should look at the future because, that debate will not help anybody.”

He believes Nigerians should concentrate on the upcoming election instead of dwelling on the results of the 2023 presidential poll.

“Now we have president, uh, in the seat. Now what is important is 2027 election,” he said.

Kwankwaso, now preparing to run with Obi in the 2027 presidential race, also voiced confidence that his party could win.

“I personally believe that, uh, by the grace of God, NNPP will win the election in 2027,” he stated.
