The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Thursday, arrived the election petition tribunal with boxes of evidence.

Obi's lawyers, today, made an entrance as they made their way into the court with evidences filled in boxes and bags.

However, the presidential election petition court has to stepped down hearing in the petition filed by Peter Obi and the Labour Party due to poor scheduling of documents.

Peter Obi and the Labour Party are contesting the outcome of President Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima.

At the resumed hearing on Thursday, the tribunal chairman, Justice Haruna Tsammani, stepped down the petition as a result of poor scheduling of documents Obi and his party sought to tender in an attempt to prove their allegation of electoral malpractices in the presidential polls.

Confusion erupted when Emeka Okpoko from Obi’s legal team attempted to tender documents from the 23 local government areas of Benue.

The discrepancies caused the forced the judges to rise for about 15 minutes to allow the petitioners to resolve them.
