The Lagos State Labour Party governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, says Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the party and his movement have redefined politics in Nigeria.

39-year-old Rhodes-Vivour will take a shot at the governorship race for the first time against more experienced candidates from the incumbent Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran who is popularly known as Jandor from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking in a recent interview, Rhodes-Vivour this will be the first time that the people will put their leaders in office as it has not been the case in several elections before 2023. He stressed that Peter Obi and the obidient movement have created new types of politicians.

"I am very passionate about what you have talked about but you that even more most politicians have bought their way into office. This is the first time that the people are putting the politicians in office, not because of the money that they are giving, but because of Love and Hope"
