Peter Obi and his Labour Party seem to be on the good books of a lot of youths in Nigeria and in the diaspora as preparation for the 2023 general election intensifies.

Day-in-day-out, the former Anambra governor's popularity keeps increasing both on social media and among the masses. The organic nature of his growth has been noticed by spokesmen of the two major political parties who at every point in time try to downplay and fault his credibility.

They attack his lack of party structure and note it as one of the key elements that will guarantee his loss in the polls. While that could be true, in context, some young Nigerians have taken it upon themselves to change that narrative.

"Today, I used my own fund to volunteer and support #PeterObiMovement. I rented and painted the first Labour Party office in Song LGA of Adamawa State," this is a tweet by an unidentified tweep.

The text which was posted on the fan page of Dr Yusuf Datti Ahmed, the vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

With the tweet were images of the user by a renovated building bearing the colours of the Labour Party.
