Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has defended TikToker Peller after some Nigerians called him out for criticizing the 30 Days Rant Challenge.
Peller had advised Nigerians to to rant on TikTok but instead hit the streets in protest against whatever grievance they have.
His post didn't sit well with some Nigerians who attacked him on social media and decided to unfollow him.
Reacting, Omokri wrote on Facebook, "Maryanne Moghalu, a mature matronly woman of almost sixty years, told the world to "Invest in Lagos at your own peril," and you did not cancel her. In fact, you defended her. But you want to cancel a nineteen-year-old Peller because he urged Nigerians not to rant on TikTok?
"Habeeb Hamzat, AKA Peller, has done nothing wrong to Nigeria and has done many things right for our country. If you did not cancel a twenty-something-year-old Raye for saying Lagos is smelly, please don't join in sacrificing this teenager on the altar of ethnic politics."
