A fight occurred on Arise TV between co-anchor, Rufai Oseni, and a guest on the Morning show.

During a discussion on the judgement on the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, a guest and lawyer, Jesutega Onokpasa, got upset when a fellow guest on the show questioned the integrity of the judges that upheld the election of President Bola Tinubu.

Lawyer James Ezike, who was also a guest on the Arise TV, questioned the reasons the judges gave for dismissing the petitions filed against President Bola Tinubu’s victory at the 2023 presidential election.

Reacting to Ezike’s comment about the justices, Onokpasa said;

"He is not a Supreme Court judge. If he was that great a lawyer, maybe he will be a Supreme court judge. It is highly unfit of him to impugn the integrity of their lordships."

Immediately, Rufai Oseni, interjected and asked Onokpasa to take back his words and that he was attacking the lawyer’s character who happen to be a guest.

"I think you should take that back. You shouldn't have attacked him personally. You can't do that to a fellow guest. Take that back with due respect,'' Rufai said.

Onokpasa refused and insisted that he would not sit and watch anyone disrespect the justices.

"I am a lawyer. I will not stand any lawyer insulting the justices of the Supreme Court. I said I will not take it back,'' he said.
