PDP’s Fintiri wins Adamawa guber poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Govenor Ahmadu Fintiri, the winner of the Adamawa governorship election.

Fintiri has had a duel like election with the All Progressives Congress, APC Aisha Binani Dahiru.

The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Yunusa Ari was also suspended based on the controversial nature of the election.

He was accused by INEC of usurpation of the duty of the Returning Officer for the guber poll.

INEC however continued with the collation of the guber result earlier on Tuesday amid tight security.
