PDP reacts to APC, Matawale's defeat in Zamfara

Dino Melaye, a leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party has reacted to the defeat of the incumbent Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawale.

Matawalle who is a key member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 311, 976 votes to Dauda Lawal-Dare of the Peoples Democratic PaRTY (PDP) who polled 377,726 according to INEC's Returning Officer, Professor Kasimu Shehu who announced the results on Tuesday, March 21 in Gusau, the state capital.

Melaye wrote on his official Instagram account: "How the Governor of Zamfara cursed himself out of office. Bye Bye Mattawali"

Prof. Shehu, said, “I Prof. Kassimu Shehu of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, certify that I am INEC Returning Officer for Zamfara State.

“That Dr. Lawal Dauda of the PDP, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is declared the winner and returned elected.”
