Chief Bode George, the former deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commented on the administration of President Bola Tinubu, adding that he was never an enemy of the Nigerian President.

The PDP leader also dismissed the proposition that he might the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming days, considering the latest stride of the ruling party.

Bode George spoke while featuring on Channels Politics Today on Tuesday evening, June 20.

He travelled down the history lane of 1998 when General Abdulsalami Abubakar was leaving office and the constitution that was introduced to the country still has "a military outlook" because power was organized from the top to the bottom.

The PDP leader went further to stress that in a real democratic dispensation, "power must come from the base to the top".

George cited the case of the United States democratic system of government that Nigeria has copied from, saying in the US, a state government controls the resources of the state for the benefit of the people.

Also in America, according to Bode Goerge, there is the Federal Burea of Investigation (FBI), which is the national police, adding that there is state police and county police, which is at the local government level but the case is different from Nigeria.
