PDP crisis: Makinde makes U-turn dumps Wike, agrees to lead Atiku's Ibadan rally

Report indicates that the Oyo state governor, SeyI Makinde has declared his support for his principal, Atiku Abubakar.

It has been gathered that Makinde will lead the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, presidential campaign rally in Ibadan.

This comes as a shock to many as Makinde is known to be a member of the G-5 governors who are agitating for the removal of the national chairman, Iyorcha Ayu which led an internal crisis in the party.

A publication by Nigerian Tribune states that the ex-deputy governor of Oyo state, Hazeem Gbolarumi who is a staunch rival of the incumbent will also be present at the upcoming presidential rally.

All the candidates of the party at all levels will be formally presented.

Following the present development, normalcy seems to have returned to the party, as all the factions have agreed to put aside their differences and work for the common goals of the party at all levels.

Although, the leader of the G-5 governors, Nyesom Wike is yet to make his proclamation on his preferred presidential candidate and who he will be supporting ahead of the general election.
