The Senior Pastor of Throne of Eliyahs International Ministries, Rev. E.S Emeka, has said God will soon compensate Igbos by making the governor of Lagos State to be an Igbo man.

The clergyman said this while delivering a sermon before his congregation as seen in a viral video on social media.

He said, "In future and that future is very close. God is going to compensate the Igbos by making a governor of Lagos State an Igbo man."

His words have angered many Yoruba youths on social media who wondered why Igbos are concerned about ruling Yorubaland.

Reacting on X, @de_generalnoni said, "Why are Igbos obsessed with Lagos?
Mr Pastor,why not wish Abia to be like Lagos or best in Nigeria??

"Must you lead another man’s land??? To Yoruba Ronus we must intensify our efforts.

"No Yoruba or Fulani man will say this about Anambra and won’t get reaction from their leaders. Yorubas are becoming weak tribe in Nigeria…24 hours gone no response from any Yoruba leadership… @letsbuildnew9ja we need you to help us reach out to our elders Kabiesi… we are not sending you message o but we need your voice and other leaders on this matter. Why is God not compensating the Lagosians with the oil rich states in the east and somewhere else?
