A viral video allegedly showing two Nigerian truck drivers being assaulted at Karma Agric Feed & Foods Ltd on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has prompted widespread outrage.

The drivers were identified as Riliwan Olajide and Taiwo Yinusa. Reports say the confrontation began with a disagreement over truck keys on the company’s premises. In the footage, one man appears to strike a driver as others restrain another person.

The Association of Maritime Truck Owners (AMATO) condemned the alleged assault and called on police to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that anyone found responsible is held accountable.

Questions remain about how the confrontation unfolded and how the relevant authorities have responded.
