Singer Davido's father, Deji Adeleke, and his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, have cast their votes in the ongoing Osun State Governorship Election.

Governor Adeleke is seeking re-election as the incumbent on the platform of the Accord Party. He's going against major contender, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress.

While he and his brother Deji were casting their votes, his nephew Davido was on social media lamenting that soldiers were preventing him from entering Osun.

The soldiers' action may be linked to the restriction of movement from Friday midnight to Saturday 6 pm, which the police announced for election security purposes.

Meanwhile, men dressed as police officers have caused chaos in Modakeke, a town in Osun State, when they dispersed a crowd of voters by firing teargas in the ongoing governorship election in the state.

According to a voice narrative in a video from the incident, the uniformed men carted away election materials after dispersing the crowd.

The voice also stated that the use of teargas was unwarranted because there was no fight or chaos at the polling unit before the officers arrived.

The narrator also revealed that NYSC members and INEC officials at the polling unit took to their heels as soon as the gun-wielding uniformed men unleashed force.
