Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will have his eyes on another record when Galatasaray host Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg at Rams Park later tonight.
The 27-year-old will be looking to equal the record for the most goals scored in a single UEFA Champions League campaign by a player in the Turkish Super Lig.
Former Galatasaray forward Burak Yılmaz currently holds the record with eight goals in a single UCL campaign.
Yılmaz achieved this remarkable feat during the 2012/13 season.
Osimhen is currently one goal away from matching Yılmaz's record after registering seven goals in eight matches for Okan Buruk's side this term.
After guiding Galatasaray to a 1–0 win against Liverpool in the league phase, the Super Eagles striker is expected to lead the line for Okan Buruk’s side.
Galatasaray will be looking to maintain their impressive home advantage to secure a favourable first leg result before their trip to Anfield next week.
